Today the second day of the Lazio local action plan took place at the European University of Rome (“UER”). Thanks to Professor Anna Contardi, professor and associate of the Psychology and phsychiatric department in Human Sciences at the UER, the participants were able to interact one on one, sharing their experiences as athletes and their difficulties as ex-athletes and in some cases still athletes merging into the working world.

Professor Contardi focused very much on this aspect giving the participants solid barriers, tips and tricks to face their future and creating a bridge between the sport world and the working world.

The feedback from each participant was very positive and in the afternoon they began their coaching sessions, each ex/athlete having their own personal coach to help them focus on their objectives and analyse what has been holding them back from reaching it.

A.S.D. LAZIO Basket is so grateful to the European Commission for having given these ex/athletes the possibility to attend these courses through their co-financing, and the European University of Rome for putting so much passion and dedication into the project, making available a high calabre of professors. We are all looking toward to what tomorrow’s course will bring.
