Máté Bálint has been involved in the sports industry since 2 decades. After a career as a professional canoeist, he gained his first experience in sport business at management & marketing consulting agencies representing elite athletes.
He’s been working on numerous major sports events held in Hungary, such as the ICF Canoe World Championships and World Cups as well as ITF Tennis Federations Cup. For 5 years, he was responsible for 100+ live broadcasted sports events as a Production Manager.
Since 2013, he’s been working for the most popular Hungarian multisport club (Ferencváros) where he’s been the key contact person for international club competitions (UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League) for 6 consecutive seasons. Furthermore, he was honored the role of Deputy Event Manager of the Grand Opening Match of the Groupama Arena, held between Ferencváros and Chelsea FC in 2014.
He’s also the local coordinator of the club’s international projects, such as Sport & Support, Active Fans, Community Champions League and The European Day of Care. He is also chief secretary of the Fradi Fair Play Committee, an ECA CSR Award-shortlisted initiative of Ferencváros.
He’s a Board Member of the European Football for Development Network since 2018. Bálint is also providing guest lectures at the Football Business Academy and contributed to the content of many successful quiz shows of several Hungarian Televisions companies.
