Elisa Hakanen represents Tampareen Pyrintö. She is the sports director and project manager. Over and above EDoC and projects regarding social inclusion, Elisa focuses on gender equality and increasing the number of female leaders in sports.

She has organized many major sport Events in Tampere. In 2018 she was General Secretary in IAAF U20 World Championships and in 2013 General Secretary in European U23 Championships. She is also in charge of Men´s Top basketball Team in Pyrintö and works with top athletes in athletics.

The City of Tampere Children and Youth Services Board has selected Elisa Hakasen as the Adult of the Year 2010. This year, the award aims to give recognition to the work done specifically to promote the physical and health of children and young people.
