Yesterday morning, 13th December, the four participating sports clubs, Olympiacos SFP (Greece), Levski Sports For All (Bulgaria), SD Crvena Zvezda (Serbia) and S.S Lazio (Italy) officially commenced their Belgrade transnational trip with a visit to the City Hall where a meet and greet session was held with the Deputy Mayor, Andreja Mladenovic.

The Deputy Mayor provided the delegates with some insight into how the city of Belgrade is involved in sports and supports their respective sporting clubs. He stressed the importance of the essential connection between sports and economics and how sports benefits the citizens. He also stressed the importance of the collaboration of different clubs and countries and how this leads to sharing key information, a fundamental principle that underlies the ethos of EMCA.

The teams were given a tour of the Sports Center 25. Maj, more specifically the aquatic center, which has both indoor and outdoor facilities. The timing of the tour was perfect as the SD Crvena Zvezda swimming and waterpolo teams were training, affording the delegates the opportunity to witness the use of the facilities in action.

A tour of the Kalemegdan fortress later on in the day was the perfect team building opportunity as the teams were able to interact and strengthen relationships with the delegates.
